Situated in Kolkata West Bengal, Pritam has been an industry leader serving clients across India since its inception. We have built our reputation in developing and manufacturing products of the highest quality through precision in design and manufacturing as well as attentive quality control, in to order to provide products with optimum performance and durability. Pritam was founded over 30 years ago as a manufacturer of high quality electrical products. Our technology and products have been developed to cater to the tastes of the contemporary generation but our reputation for excellence remains.

1977

Inception

The remarkable journey of Pritam started off with at-home productions of decorative lights, followed by their peddling on a cart.

1978

Trade Begins

Trading of products from Bombay to Calcutta marks a first.

1982

Porcelain Switches

The company expands further to start off with the manufacture of Porcelain switches as well.

1983

Official Launch

The company registers its official launch in the market as a brand to be reckoned with.

1986

Expansion

The company expands its production to include non-modular flush type switches.

1990

Switchgears

The company launched a range of wires and cables, but discontinued it after a few years. The same was replaced by the launch of switchgears instead.

2000

Innovation

An attractive range of semi-modular colourful switches under the name of Pioneer is begun by the company.

2004

Try

An all-new series of modular switches called ‘Try’ is launched by the company, in keeping with the needs of the consumers.

2010

CFL Lights

The overwhelming demand for CFL lights motivated the company to direct its productions in that realm also.

2016

Revamp

A range of premium modular switches named Norah was rolled out into the market. The year also saw the re-launching of wires and cables alongside the production of LED lighting solutions.
